According to a recent poll taken on Entertainment Tonight 98%
of American's believe in angels. Supposedly, there are nine different orders,
each with a different purpose.
Archangels--The highest order of angels. The ones closest
to God. These are the ones who are given important spiritual tasks.
Principalities--The angels that guide nations. I guess
you could say that these are the political angels. Or do they simply guide
the orders of angels?
Powers--The angels that guide souls. Perhaps the angel
of death would fall into this category.
Virtues--The angels of miracles.
Dominions--The angels of mercy.
Seraphim--The angels of love. These are the ones who
shoot those arrows through your heart. Or at least they're depicted that
way on valentine cards.
Cherubim--The angels of wisdom.
Thrones--These angels supposedly oversee the other angels.
Angels--These angels intercede between man and God.
They're the guardian angels.
