So You Want to go Ghost Hunting

© 2004  Bobette Bryan

Anyone can go ghost hunting, but a only a pro knows how to do it right. That's why Underworld Tales has done some research into what you should and shouldn't do if you're interested in bagging yourself a spook.

  • Begin your search somewhere where there's some history, old buildings, cemeteries, theatres, a place where something dire happened. Make sure that you're not trespassing.
  • Start your search in the early hours of the morning just before dawn.
  • Pay particular attention to differences in heat in certain rooms. And be sure to watch out for that slippery ectoplasm. or clinic?
  • Consider using an Electromagnetic Field Detector, an EMF's for short. They are great for allowing you to detect irregularities in, of course, magnetic fields. You might also find a microwave, a VCR, a stereo. And no, they aren't the big devices used in the Ghostbusters movie. They're actually wallet-sized and require a 9 volt battery.
  • Be sure to take your camera with you and take pictures often. You just never know what's going to turn up in them. Experts suggest Infrared film, but it's difficult for the novice to work with. Others suggest that using a film speed of 400 will also be effective.
