Background information: On October 22, 2005
something happened to thirty-year old, Tara Grinstead, and she hasn't been
seen since.
The high school teacher and former beauty Queen arrived at her home in
Ocilla, Georgia
around 11PM on a Saturday night, put her cell phone on the charger, turned her
bedroom lamp on, and somehow vanished into thin air. When she didn't show
up for class on Monday morning, she was reported missing.
After an extensive investigation that included
numerous interviews, police remain baffled and few clues exist.
Neighbors later said that they'd heard her one-year old German Shepherd barking
that night but saw nothing out of the ordinary.
Preliminary Thoughts:
I am not familiar with this case except for the bare bone facts.
I've since learned that it's a high-profile case, but I don't watch TV. And
I've never been to Georgia. I selected this case to investigate randomly
after looking at a list of missing people in hopes that I could find some
clues to aid in the investigation. As always, this investigation was
conducted for the family's sake.
Psychic Connection:
I immediately got the sense that Tara is
the victim of foul play. After I connected, I saw a skeleton lying in a
grave, long hair splayed out about her, wearing some kind of colorful
dress or shirt--I only saw the upper part of her body. I saw a lot
of trees, and I believe she's in a rural area not far from where she lived.
There was also a two-story Cape Cod style house with two dormers, which I saw
from a strange viewpoint, as if I were lying low beneath it, at a bit of a
distance, and at a crooked side angle. My vision of the house was almost
as if I were peeking through a camera that was held askew and slowly moving from the ground, to the house,
and to the tall trees overhead.
Tara is likely buried in the woods somewhere near this house.
I also saw a man with Tara that night, inside
her house. Though most of the impressions I got were too foggy to
discern, I saw his face clearly, and up close. He had dark, curly hair
that went just below his ears, an inch or two, and a fresh and
somewhat pretty face--though he isn't pretty inside. Sometimes age can be
difficult to arrive at, but I believe he was in his early to mid
20's--definitely no older than 30. He was clean-shaven, Caucasian,
and had even features set within an oval-shaped face.
I saw her standing in her bedroom, doing
something before what could have been a chest of drawers, and suddenly this
man entered the room. He had sex with her that night, and though I'm not
sure how he killed her, I saw him cut her breast and abdomen with a knife.
The vision changed suddenly, and
I saw him driving a light colored car--I'm not sure of the make, but it looked
sporty. He kept looking over the seat as if someone was in the backseat.
And I saw him with Tara in a wooded area. She was on the ground and he was
sitting in front of her and at another time he was above her, his hands on
her. I couldn't see
what he was doing.
Additional Info:
I got a name but decided not to report it here as Ocilla is a small town, and
I wouldn't want anyone to jump to false or hasty conclusions.
I saw someone open a small white louvered door. Could the intruder have been
hiding in an area like that?
A large fuzzy black splotch kept appearing in the vision and concealing the
view. I don't know
what it means. I've never seen that in a vision before.
Post-
research:
To put what I saw together with
the established clues, I researched the case at
crimelibrary.com and other online sources, including MSN. And I'm not
going to go into details about the case here, because this is a high profile case and it's well known. So I'll cover the case briefly.
Tara was loved and is missed very much by the people of Ocilla. She taught 11th and 9th grade History at
the Irwin County High School in Ocilla, GA. and is said to be one of those
rare and special teachers who go far beyond the call of duty. On Saturday, October 22, 2007, she'd spent the whole day helping students get ready for a festival and the Sweet Potato Pageant. Later that evening, she had a barbecue dinner at the home of some friends and left their house at 11:00 PM and was never seen again.
The police say that there was no evidence of a struggle. I don't get
that, because there is strong evidence of a struggle.
A lamp, which she habitually turned on to let her neighbors know that she was home and
was okay, was found broken in her bedroom (The neighbors had gone to bed early
that night and didn't see anything unusual.) A digital clock was found broken beneath the bed,
and the bed was damaged.
Her purse and keys were missing and a surgical glove was later found outside
her house. What's more, the front seat of her car had been pushed back to
accommodate a larger person--she was only 5" 3 and about 125 pounds.
Though she normally let her German Shepherd in at night, it was left out on Saturday and barked through the night, especially in the wee hours of the morning.
But otherwise, no one saw or heard anything suspicious.
On
Monday morning, when she didn't show up at the local High School, coworkers called the police and a missing persons case was filed.
The police interviewed numerous people and learned that Tara had suffered a
terrible heartbreak in 2004 when her ex-policeman boyfriend broke up with her. She'd hoped they would marry, but he'd gotten a new job and his life moved in another direction.
She also dated a cop from a nearby town and possibly some other men, following
the breakup.
Conclusion:
I believe that Tara was dealing with some heavy emotional issues, and her
heart was broken, but she didn't kill herself. She was too strong
for that, and she'd already made it through the worst of the storm. What's
more, she would have left a suicide letter behind. And she didn't run away due
to heartbreak or pressure. She didn't take money with her, her cell
phone was left behind, and no charges have been put on her credit card. So
those two possibilities can be ruled out completely.
I do think Tara was raped and murdered by a young man who fits the description I gave
in the psychic connection above. I believe the motive was sex-related. In my opinion, based on
the images I saw during my psychic connection, and the
research material I read at crimelibrary.com and other sources, she got home
after 11 PM that night, turned on the bedroom lamp, put her cell-phone
in the charger, and got undressed,
tossing her clothes on the couch beside the bed. She then moved to a
dresser and removed her necklace, but before she could remove her earrings,
she was either surprised by an intruder who had waited for her in her home or
he found a way in. This is definitely someone who knew her pattern of coming
and going. She either knew him or he'd been watching her.
Before I go on, It's important to note that
I don't believe the murderer is Tara's
ex-boyfriend. I saw photos of him, and he does not fit the description of the
man I saw in my vision, and he's older and more rugged. I know a lot of people
seem to think that it was this man, and my question for them is: do you want
to hold on to a suspicion or do you want a dangerous murderer found and
convicted of this terrible crime? Be open-minded about this for
Tara's sake!
After the intruder came upon her, there was a struggle, the lamp was knocked
over and broken, and so was the clock. The foot of the bed was damaged, and the necklace was tossed aside. She never had time to put it away. And
ultimately, the intruder overpowered her. Here things get a little sketchy as
sometimes the happenings in a psychic vision will play out of order. I
know he sexually assaulted her, but I'm not sure if he did this at her home or
at another place later. At any rate, he
told her to get dressed. She went to the closet and nervously pulled several
articles of clothing out and selected something, (perhaps at the killer's
choosing) tossing the rest on the couch on top of the clothes she'd worn
earlier that night--and that's why there are clothes lying on top of the ones she'd
previously cast off, some still on hangers.
He then forced her outside and ordered her to get in the backseat of her car. He got in the front and drove
to wherever he planned to take her. I don't know if he killed her immediately or held her hostage for some time
after that. Perhaps he took her to the Cape Cod house I saw in my vision or maybe it's merely a focal point along the way. And
it's possible that the sexual assault scenes I saw might have occurred at some
other location rather than in her own house. And I believe it's likely that he killed her in the wooded area as I saw him with her there,
sitting before her while she laid on the ground.
At any rate, he left her somewhere and drove her car back to her house. He
might even have tidied the house in order to hide evidence and lock it up
afterward--though I doubt he was there for long. Then, he either walked to his own house or drove a vehicle that he'd earlier parked nearby.
As for the glove, I'm not sure
whether it's significant or not. It crossed my mine that it could have
been accidentally dropped by investigators as crime scene investigators carry
such gloves. I don't think it indicates that this person works in a medical
field. Heck, if it does belong to the killer, he could have purchased it just about
anywhere--even hardware stores sell gloves like these--or he could have even snatched it
while in a doctor's office. It does warrant thorough investigation though.
How you can help:
You can help Tara by praying. Pray
for her and her family and for a resolution to this mystery.
